“I said some very not nice things to Lily out of anger and then we grew apart. Only recently have we started talking again.” He looked down. “That I think would be one of the things I would take back,” he said turning around to walk backwards and face her. “I feel like if I knew what would happen and then I could go change it, maybe things would be different.” He turned back around walking forward again. “Maybe I am just a loony.”
Andromeda nodded slowly. “Ah,” she said with a small frown. “Well … I’m glad you two are getting on again.” Mudblood. That’s exactly what he meant, and she knew it. It was a word she’d banned from her vocabulary many, many years ago. It always sounded like such a terrible, vulgar word. To be quite honest, she was a bit shocked that Severus Snape had used it at all - he never really struck her as the type of person. “Who knows?” Andromeda asked with a smile, spreading her arms wide. “You may just get the opportunity! And you’re no loony. I’d rather think of you as a … ‘wishful thinker’,” she smirked, jogging to catch up to him. “So tell me, Wishful Thinker, what else do you wish for?”
“I didn’t have a very good past, but I’m trying to make up for it now,” he said noticing her frown. He smiled again and chuckled at his nickname. “I wish that my father was not such a bastard and I wish that you find happiness wherever that may be.” He smiled and laughed at his statement. “Am I to be forever known as ‘wishful thinker’?”
